Vice President Vance, accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance, their children, and senior members of the US administration, met the prime minister in New Delhi during his official visit to India.
Moreover, according to a government statement, during the meeting, PM Modi recalled his visit to Washington, DC earlier this year and his positive discussions with President Donald Trump. He said both countries are working together with the shared visions of “Make America Great Again” and “Viksit Bharat 2047.”
The two world leaders also reviewed the growing cooperation in areas such as defence, energy, technology, and innovation between India and the US. They further agreed that both nations are on the right path to a stronger, people-focused partnership.
They also discussed key global and regional issues and stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to solve international challenges, said the government statement.
Meanwhile, PM Modi wished the Vice President and his family a pleasant stay in India and said he looks forward to welcoming President Trump to India later this year.
