India vs Australia Hockey Test Series Match No 2, Highlights: Despite somewhat of an improved performance, Harmanpreet Singh-led India still ended up losing to their nemesis Australia as they went down 2-4 in Match 2 in Perth on Sunday.
After being outplayed 5-1 in the opening match, India now trail 0-2 in the five-match hockey Test series in Perth against Australia.
India led at the half time 2-1 despite trailing to an early goal. Drag flicks from Jugraj Singh and Harmanpreet Singh put them in a good position but in a third quarter blitz, the Kookaburras stormed back to score three goals.

Tempting as it is, it’s important not to get too driven by the scoreline. The purpose of this tour, after all, is to understand the opponent better. And if playing the five matches gives head coach Craig Fulton enough intel for the Olympics, the results per se become secondary. However, what the results now reassert is the gulf between the two sides.
