Riddhima Kapoor Sahni recently spoke about how the Kapoor gene makes her love food. She opened up about her favourite cuisines and also gave an insight into her fitness routine. Riddhima, who has been an advocate of yoga, revealed that it is the only exercise she does. She also spoke about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha’s fondness for her mother, Neetu Kapoor.
Speaking to Fit Tak, she said, “We are born foodies in the Kapoor house. We enjoy our food. I don’t believe in the word diet. I believe in eating everything but in moderation, portion control is the key. I have binge day 1-2 times a week.” When asked about her favourite cheat meal, Riddhima shared, “Ghar ka khana. My favourite cuisine is South Indian. My favourite meal is curd rice, pickle and papad.”
Riddhima Kapoor also reacted to Sonam Kapoor’s controversial comment about not giving honey to her infant son. Sonam had spoken about infant botulism, which occurs when babies ingest contaminated substances like honey or even soil. Reacting to the same, Riddhima said, “I have given my child honey. I give her everything, she is a teenager now. She is smarter than me. She even gave me a lecture on what to eat and what to avoid. I was impressed.” She added, “It depends on parents and every mother knows best for their child.” Riddhima, however, admitted to not giving salt and sweet to her daughter Samara when she was a child.
Speaking about her fitness secret, Riddhima revealed that she has stuck to doing yoga since 2004 but accompanies it with weight training. She said, “After Samara was born, I didn’t do anything. I just stick to yoga. I don’t know for how many years, I haven’t been to a gym. I may have forgotten how to run on a treadmill.”
Riddhima Kapoor also spoke about one common habit that her daughter Samara and her brother Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter, Raha, share. She said, “They both adore my mother. Samara calls her Nani and she calls her Deda.”
