Address growing anti-India activities by extremists: India to United Kingdom
India has asked the UK to address growing anti-India activities, particularly by Khalistani extremists, pointing to external affairs minister S Jaishankar’s security breach in London last week.

A pro-Khalistan extremist breached the security barricades and tore an Indian flag in front of Jaishankar’s convoy in London, the first such incident faced by the minister during an overseas trip. Jaishankar was on a visit to the UK from March 4 to 9.

During his visit, Jaishankar also met the UK home secretary. At the meeting, the minister brought up the safety and security of India’s missions/posts and diplomats and reiterated the need to expeditiously bring to justice the perpetrators of attacks on the premises of the Indian high commission in London.

He also emphasised the need to address the growing concerns over the increasing anti-India activities of pro-Khalistan extremist elements, officials said.
