Saif Ali Khan went through a horrific incident in January when an intruder attacked him inside his house and the actor underwent a rather long and painful surgery afterwards. The attack on Saif was shocking and his sister Soha Ali Khan recently shared that the family is still trying to recover from the “emotional trauma” of the incident. Soha also shared that Saif has completely recovered from his injuries and is now back at work.
In a chat with Zoom, Soha was asked about the stabbing incident and she shared, “We are just very happy that Bhai is fine and it was a very close call and he went through a very prolonged surgery but the most important thing is that he is completely fine, completely recovered and he is well and he is back at work. Of course, everyone will take time to recover from the emotional trauma of it but he is safe.”
The incident took place during the early hours of January 16 when an intruder was spotted by Saif son’s nanny inside Jeh Ali Khan’s bedroom. A scuffle ensued that injured the actor and he rushed to the hospital with his son Taimur Ali Khan and a member of his household staff. After a long surgery, and a hospital stay of a few days, the actor was discharged. In a chat with The Times of India, Saif later said that he did not realise that he was being stabbed repeatedly because of the adrenaline rush. He said that he now has 30 scars from the attack.
Soha Ali Khan’s husband Kunal Kemmu shared with ANI that he broke the news of the attack on Saif Ali Khan to Soha. “It’s very weird how fear works. I had to break this to her. We were getting our daughter ready to go to school and you just had this information and nothing else. So, am I supposed to send my daughter to school right now or not? All of those things were kind of playing on my mind,” he shared and added, “So we did send her to school, and then I said we need to go there, and that’s when slowly we started to find out what had kind of transpired.”
