NEW DELHI: Isha foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev on Wednesday was discharged from a private hospital in Delhi, days after undergoing an emergency brain surgery.
In a video clip, Sadhguru was seen coming out of the hospital as his followers greeted him.
Sadhguru underwent the surgery on March 17 after excessive bleeding within his skull. Post surgery, he was successfully removed from the ventilator.
Dr Vinit Suri, Senior Consultant Neurologist, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital suspected subdural haematoma and advised an urgent MRI of the brain.The report revealed “massive bleeding” in the skull, which can be due to head injury or can also happen spontaneously without any known trauma. In this case there was no trauma.
According to the hospital statement, there was evidence of chronic bleeding of three to four weeks duration with fresh bleeding of 24-48 hours. Sadhguru was advised immediate hospitalisation.
