After the Allahabad High Court on Friday reserved its order regarding deciding the maintainability of 18 suits filed by Hindu petitioners seeking removal of Shahi Eidgah from the Shri Krishnajanmbhoomi complex in Mathura, the mosque committee filed another application alleging it was not given adequate time to argue its case. Counsel representing the mosque committee Mahmood Pracha has filed an application wherein he has alleged that the court didn’t listen to him on videoconferencing and he was not given adequate time.
The hearing over maintainability of the 18 suita has been going on since February and after the court reserved its verdict on Friday, it was being expected that a verdict would come out likely in July, after the court resumes sitting post summer holidays.
Counsel for the Hindu petitioners Saurabh Tiwari alleged that the mosque committee has levelled false allegations to stretch hearings and delay verdict and the Hindu petitioners will give a “befitting” reply to the tricks of the mosque committee in the court on June 4 when the court will hear Pracha’s application.
