Nishad Kumar and Ram Pal competed in the Final for the glory, but was the former who went toe-to-toe for the golde medal finish and displayed a brilliant performance in front of thousands of fans in attendance.

Men’s High Jump – T47 Final | As It Happened
11 Para athletes competed in the Men’s High Jump – T47 Final, and amongst those 11, there were two Indian athletes — Nishad Kumar and Ram Pal.
Throughout the Final, Nishad Kumar went toe-to-toe with USA’s Roderick Townsend for the top spot, but ultimately, the latter proved to be to good for the Indian Para athlete, and Nishad Kumar, inspite of his valiant efforts, settled for a silver medal.
