Canada govt snubs own media as India flags fake criminal allegations against Amit Shah, Ajit Doval

Drouin stated she was “not aware” of any evidence supporting such claims. A Canadian media outlet alleged that Indian leaders were aware of a plot to kill Hardeep Singh Nijjar, prompting backlash in India, where the External Affairs Ministry called it a “smear campaign.” Drouin confirmed there is no evidence connecting Indian PM Modi, Foreign Minister Jaishankar, or National Security Advisor Doval to any criminal activities.
