Television actor Ram Kapoor’s wife, Gautami Kapoor, has responded to the speculation of a rift between them and producer Ektaa Kapoor. In a recent interaction, she also addressed claims about Ram Kapoor taking Ozempic for his drastic weight loss.
Earlier, Ektaa Kapoor had taken an indirect dig at Ram Kapoor — without naming the actor — for denying the use of Ozempic, hinting that he was lying. After Ektaa’s cryptic Instagram post, Gautami had shared a video mimicking Ektaa.
In a recent interaction with Vicky Lalwani, Gautami discussed Ektaa’s comment and said, “Ram has been alleged of doing many things in the past. That doesn’t make it true. Just because somebody is saying it, doesn’t make those things true. And Ram is the kind of person, if he has done anything, he will say it. He doesn’t hide anything.”
When Gautami explained Ram’s stance, she was again quizzed about her video mimicking Ektaa, which she shared around the same time, presumably to hit back at Ektaa. However Gautami denied such claims and explained her stance. She said, “I have not done this with any kind of vengeance, or any kind of revenge or vested interest. Ye social media ne isko itna hype kar diya hai. Logon ke beech mein ab ye debate chal rahi hai. Maine is attitude se ye kiya hi nahi hai, ki mujhe badla lena hai, ya mujhe kuch vengeance hai kisi ke saath. Aisa kuchh bhi nahi hai (Social media has given it so much hype. Now there’s this debate going on among people. I never had this attitude of wanting to take revenge or get back at anyone. I never had any such intentions).”
She added, “I have done it in the spirit of fun. I have done it so that when people see it, people laugh at it. Not say that ‘Are they having some rivalry? Is there a fallout?’ There’s nothing like that guys. Everyone needs to chill. It’s not about rivalry all the time. It’s also about fun. It’s a 30 second video, look at it, laugh at it and move on! People are taking it more seriously than me and Ekta, I think.”
Gautami revealed that putting out the video was her sole decision and Ram had no role to play in it. She also shared how Ram refused to get involved in the matter. She said, “When he came back, he was inundated with thousands of messages from all over the world. Then he saw it obviously, and he was like ‘Good for you. Don’t drag me in the middle of this because this is between you, Ekta and social media. Don’t drag me into this.’”
