Superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s palatial abode in Mumbai’s Bandra, Mannat, has been quite an iconic location for his fans. However, now SRK and his family have moved out of their home as it is undergoing renovation. The Khans have shifted to a building close to Mannat called Puja Casa. The first visuals of their new temporary home have been doing the rounds on social media. SRK and family were recently spotted entering the building at Pali Hill, Bandra, Mumbai. As per reports, Shah Rukh Khan and family have rented the apartment for three years.
Going by several media reports, their new home at Puja Casa is a combined spacious duplex apartment of 10500 sqft. However, the apartment is only half the size of Mannat, which is 27000 sq ft. SRK will be paying a rent of Rs 25.15 lakhs per month, and he is said to have leased the apartment for two to three years. Visuals of their new home have been circulating on social media, with fans reminding each other to gather outside the new location for King Khan’s birthday this year.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh Khan’s rented home is owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani’s children, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Red Chillies Entertainment had entered into a leave and license agreement for the same. A source also told the publication that the four-floor apartment will not just house SRK and family, but also their security and staff. There will also be an office space.
Planned renovations at Mannat
Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat is located on a peninsular strip of land called Land’s End in Bandra, which juts out into the Arabian Sea. Given this area’s proximity to the sea, property owners need a clearance from Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority, which is the state’s nodal agency to regulate development clearances in the coastal zone. Shah Rukh intends to add two additional floors to the annexe, which will increase the built-up area by 616.02 sq metres. The height of the property will also increase.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen with daughter Suhana Khan in Siddharth Anand’s King next.
