After surprising his fans with his dance moves in the Jewel Thief song, Jaideep Ahlawat is promoting his upcoming film with full gusto. Jaideep is working with Saif Ali Khan in this film, and in a recent interview, the Paatal Lok actor said that he can learn a lot from Saif because of his vast experience in the movies. Saif, however, responded with a joke, after showering a bucket full of compliments for Jaideep.
In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Saif was asked about Kareena’s experience with Jaideep when the two worked together in Jaane Jaan. Back then, Kareena had then said that she was “intimidated” whenever she worked with Jaideep as she was thoroughly impressed by him. Saif then proceeded to talk about his collaboration with Jaideep and said that the actor surprised him with his approach. Calling him a “talented co-star”, Saif said that one tends to see actors resorting to similar ways of doing certain things but Jaideep always chose a different path.
“The same thing you are doing and you see many actors do it, and you have done it but it’s a trap. There’s still a more intense way of doing it. There’s still a more committed way of doing it, whatever it is,” he said and recalled that during a scene, where Jaideep had to cut someone with a knife, he brought in an extra edge. “When I saw it on the page, I kind of imagined how it would be but when I saw how he did it, there was an extra 50 percent of energy and timing and at the same time, something creative and natural about how casually it was done. It was casual as well as lethal and strong. And I have seen people actually do that shot in a Hindi film that I have been in, couple of times actually, but never like this,” he said.
When Jaideep was asked about what he learnt from Saif, he humbly responded, “There’s lots to learn from him. What do I have to offer to him? I have just started. He has so much experience with films.” Saif interrupted Jaideep and shared with a laugh, “He can learn a bit of bullsh*t as well.”
Jaideep then continued, “When you see actors like him… You know the journey is such that he has been through so many characters. So with every film, he has that experience of life and as an actor, and it was amazing to see. I was so excited. It’s like you have a bucket list that you want to work with such and such actors. Now, I am family that I have worked with both of them.”
