Suniel Shetty’s upcoming film Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath will not be released in Pakistan, following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The decision was announced by producer Kanu Chauhan of Chauhan Studios. Also starring Sooraj Pancholi, Vivek Oberoi and Akanksha Sharma, the historical epic sheds light on the valiant efforts of warriors, who defended the Somnath Temple against invaders in the 14th century.
In a statement shared exclusively with SCREEN, producer Kanu Chauhan said, “I have informed and instructed my overseas distributor not to allow my film to be released in Pakistan at any cost after hearing and seeing the Pakistani-based militant attack on Indian soil. I don’t want my film to be released in Pakistan. I have zero tolerance and there is zero justification for such cowardly attacks on our soil. I have put my foot down and Kesari Veer will not be released in Pakistan. It’s a moral stand and support towards the innocent victims who lost their lives in this terrorist attack.”
He added, “Kesari Veer will definitely release in India and other international markets like USA, Gulf, UK, and North America.”
The trailer launch of Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath will be held in Mumbai on April 29.
