Chandigarh: Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Tuesday dubbed the BJP’s decision of going it alone for Lok Sabha seats as “farcical in the face of a tacit SAD-BJP cooperation”.Warring claimed that even the best efforts of Sunil Jakhar, Sukhbir Badal, and Capt Amarinder Singh failed to give BJP and SAD a footing in Punjab, while their statements were a tactical response to public dissent.“I have inputs Jakhar proposed an alliance for six-seven seats, but thy couldn’t reach consensus. Nonetheless, their strong relationship is evident from the provision of central security to Badal family, while our leaders are deprived of the privilege.” He said Jakhar seemed to be “under pressure, for his job is at stake if BJP fails to secure a single seat”. He added people were stopping BJP leaders in villages, so the present situation helped both.
