Ludhiana: District election officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney has authorized all assistant returning officers (AROs) of Ludhiana parliamentary constituency, including Ludhiana East, Ludhiana South, Atam Nagar, Ludhiana Central, Ludhiana West, Ludhiana North, Gill, Dakha, Jagraon and Khanna, Payal, Samrala, Sahnewal and Raikot under Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituency to issue permissions for the use of loudspeakers and other similar devices by political parties and candidates during the Lok Sabha elections under regulation passed in 2000.
