Hisar: The election office of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Hisar Lok Sabha constituency Ranjit Singh was inaugurated on Thursday by Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, who was accompanied by former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, at Sushila Bhawan after which a public meeting was also organised.
Former Hisar MP Kuldeep Bishnoi — who is said to be angry over not getting the ticket — did not attend the function.
Not only this, despite being co-incharge of Rajasthan, he was not kept in the list of star campaigners.
He had also expressed his grief by releasing a video on the pretext of disappointing his supporters.
However, his MLA son Bhavya Bishnoi and supporter Naresh Jangra, the newly appointed chairman of the labour board, were present.
‘Ticket Was Decided Earlier’
Ranjit Singh, the former power minister, revealed that his ticket had been decided even before he joined the party.
Khattar called him — he told the gathering — and told him “your ticket is about to be announced. You should come soon and join the BJP wearing the party patka (a substitute for turban)”.
Comparing PM Narendra Modi with Mahatma Gandhi and Jayaprakash Narain, the Hisar LS candidate said that the movement “that was there during their time is similar to the one in the name of Modi”. He also said that the people of India had “saved democracy in 1977 and will save it even today”.
