Hisar: Alleging that the Sushila Bhavan poll office of BJP’s Hisar Lok Sabha candidate Ranjit Singh was on govt land in violation of the model code of conduct, senior local advocate Rajesh Jakhar has complained to the Election Commission district electoral officer, and municipal commissioner. The complainant cited MC property records to argue that Sushila Bhawan was built on govt land and its lease had expired many years ago.He claimed that: “Its remaining courtyard was built on occupied govt land, so no party has the legal right to open any election office there. Giving the BJP that freedom is a case of corrupt election practice.” He recalled how the Allahabad high court had once cancelled the election of late prime minister Indira Gandhi over corrupt practices
