Delhi to hit 42°C by April 7-8: IMD
Heatwave conditions are forecast over parts of north-western India including the National Capital Region during next five-six days and temperatures are expected to touch 42°C in Delhi by April 7-8. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for these regions.

While North India braces for heatwaves, many parts from south peninsular India are facing thunderstorms and lightning along with isolated heavy rainfall, which is likely to continue during the next three days.

Delhi will experience heatwave conditions from April 4 to 8. The yellow alert means that the heat will be tolerable for general public but may cause moderate health concern for vulnerable people like infants, elderly and those with chronic diseases. The advisory is to avoid heat exposure.
